PM Asked to Intervene

Railroaded has asked Prime Minister Harper to intervene and stop operation of the newly-constructed rail yard right next to homes and wildlife conservation areas. To date, the federal government has refused to enforce legislation regarding construction and operation of this rail yard by Cando Contracting Ltd., CN Rail and Imperial Oil. Local residents have provided federal Ministers and their MP, Leon Benoit, with many examples of breaches of federal legislation, but nothing has been done. This is why residents have appealed to the Prime Minister. See letter here.
