Conductor Killed in CN Derailment

A 30-year-old CN conductor was killed November 28, 2012 in a derailment at a CN yard about 180km north of Fort St. John, B.C. (Canadian PressQMI Agency).

CN workers were apparently switching cars on and off a train when a fuel tanker derailed and rolled onto a CN employee. The RCMP, Coroner’s Service, WorkSafe BC and the Transportation Safety Board of Canada are all involved in investigating the accident.

See this link for more information on CN derailments. Rail yards are particularly prone to accidents.
